How we handle your information
This policy describes the information Cascade Aquatics collects through this website and how it is used to evaluate potential lake-restoration opportunities.
Information you submit
When you submit a lake, we collect the contact, organization, lake, water-quality, governance, funding, and project-readiness information you provide. We also collect any public report links and documents you choose to upload.
How we use it
We use submitted information to evaluate whether a Cascade Assessment, treatability study, future pilot, partnership, or other conversation may make sense; to contact you; and to improve how we identify restoration opportunities. Submission does not guarantee treatment or pilot acceptance.
Storage and service providers
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Structured submission data is stored in Cloudflare D1 and uploaded documents are stored privately in Cloudflare R2. Cloudflare Turnstile helps prevent automated abuse. Resend processes transactional confirmation and internal-notification emails.
Analytics and source information
Cloudflare provides privacy-focused site analytics. Cascade records anonymous aggregate counts for a short, fixed list of website actions. We do not store IP addresses, browser fingerprints, or free-form behavioral payloads in that event system. Referral and campaign parameters are saved only when they accompany a lake submission.
Documents and security
Uploaded reports may contain non-public information, so R2 storage is private by default. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee perfect security.
Retention, deletion, and sharing
We retain prospect and lake information while it remains relevant to evaluation, partnership, legal, or business-record needs. We do not sell prospect data. We may share information with service providers that help operate the site or with professional partners when needed to evaluate a project and appropriate to the context.
Your choices
To request access, correction, or deletion of information you submitted, email hello@cascadeaquatics.com. Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, or recordkeeping reasons.
